Welcome!

Welcome to my new website (at last!), as you can see the hyphen's gone but everything else is pretty much the same!

If you've just joined us I am a musician based in Adelaide, South Australia, I play blues piano, guitar and Hammond organ - I also have a little electronics business building and repairing valve (tube) amplifiers, effects and things here.

The styles of music that I love the most are 1920's - 40's acoustic blues, which I love to play on my National guitars, blues piano and 1950's - 70's Hammond organ trio stuff.

I'll have sounds and video of past present and future projects up here very soon (how do you film a future project? "Works in progress" would be a better term...

Meanwhile I welcome any queries, comments or suggestions at jesse@jessedeanefreeman.com

Here are some brief examples (mp3's)of the type of music I do...

Bring Me Flowers While I'm Living - my (solo piano) version of this Jack Dupree song from my third album.

When I Lay My Burden Down - my version of this song played on my Vintage Steel Tricone

Angel Child - my version of Mance Lipscomb's version of this ever popular theme! Played on my National Style O.

Bad Luck Blues - a Blind Lemon Jefferson song played on the tricone.

King Edward's Blues - a Blind Willie McTell song on the tricone.

Intro Song - the Hammond trio live at the Fad Bar - we were going to release this as an album but there were too many technical problems with the tape...some good bits though!

Howlin' For My Darling - the trio at Fad again with a Howlin' Wolf song.

Early In The Morning - Hammond trio version of the Louis Jordan song done in the style of Professor Longhair...
