To be released September 10th at the Semaphore Worker's Club 8:30 pm, the debut album of the Jesse Deane-Freeman Trio. Jesse began playing piano at age seven, working as a professional musician at age seventeen and has been playing Hammond organ for the past sixteen years. However Jesse's previous albums all featured piano and guitar based bands.
In 2004 Jesse started gigging with his first organ trio, with Sav Palaktsoglou on guitar and Mick Garcia on drums. After a break from the music business, the Jesse Deane-Freeman Trio returned, now featuring Mario Marino on drums, and have been performing every Tuesday at the Lion Hotel in North Adelaide since June 2009.
The Jesse Deane-Freeman trio plays a mixture of blues, jazz and soul which Jesse categorizes as "Soul Jazz" - bringing a bluesy flavour to some jazz standards and re imagining classic organ trio material by Reuben Wilson, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Jimmy Smith and others.
